UMass Amherst is seeking a Learning Strategist to work with students with disabilities in 1:1 or small group settings. The role focuses on coaching, mentoring, and developing individualized learning plans that address executive functioning, study skills, and self-advocacy.

The position emphasizes collaboration with Access Coordinators and faculty to remove barriers and promote inclusive learning. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Three (3) years' experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledgeable in ADA/ADA Amendments Act and related laws as applied to higher education.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Meet with students in 1:1 or small group sessions to set goals and build skills.
• Develop individualized learning strategies using disability-informed approaches.
• Foster self-advocacy, executive functioning, and metacognitive skills.
• Maintain caseloads and coordinate with Access Coordinators to remove barriers.
• Recordkeeping and confidentiality per FERPA and university policies.
