The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a Learning Strategist in Amherst to work with students with disabilities in 1:1 or small group sessions, providing coaching and mentoring to develop self-education and executive functioning.

Under supervision, you will prepare individualized learning strategies, support access, and collaborate with Access Coordinators to remove barriers in academics and student life; occasional evenings/weekends; typical 8:30-5 schedule.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required and relevant experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of FERPA, ADA, and higher education accessibility practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse students.
• Experience supporting student success and accommodations in a university setting.

Responsabilidades

• Meet with students 1:1 or in small groups to set goals and develop self-advocacy.
• Provide coaching on study skills, organization, and metacognition.
• Prepare individualized, disability-informed learning strategies.
• Collaborate with Access Coordinators to remove barriers in academics and campus life.
• Maintain confidential records and ensure FERPA compliance.
• Plan initiatives with departments during summer and support persistence and retention.
