The University of Massachusetts Amherst is seeking a Learning Strategist to coach students with disabilities in 1:1 or small group sessions, tailoring strategies to meet individual needs within a higher education setting.

The role includes developing neuro-inclusive study skills, collaborating with Access Coordinators, and maintaining FERPA-compliant records while supporting Disability Services’ mission of access and campus inclusion.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years of experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of diverse social, cognitive, and educational needs of individuals with disabilities.
• Understanding of ADA/ADAAA, FERPA and related laws.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office and data management systems.

Mansioni

• Provide 1:1 or small group coaching to students with disabilities.
• Develop individualized learning strategies using strengths-based approaches.
• Collaborate with Access Coordinators to address barriers in academics and student life.
• Maintain confidential records in line with FERPA and university policy.
• Form partnerships with departments to support student success initiatives.
