Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Sr. Continuous Improvement Manager in Kansas (Olathe) to lead Lean and CI across the Cooling division. You will partner with operations and functional leaders to deploy a Lean operating system, drive sustainable improvements, and foster a culture of problem solving.

The role emphasizes coaching frontline teams, leading Kaizen activities, and developing leaders in Lean thinking, with travel up to 30% domestic/international as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of progressive Lean/CI or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience implementing Lean in manufacturing environments.
• Experience leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives.
• Proven track record of measurable improvements in productivity, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, lead time, or capacity.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and change‑management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Lean / CI strategy aligned with growth and priorities.
• Partner with site and functional leaders to identify major opportunities in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory, and capacity.
• Establish and mature a common Lean operating system across locations.
• Use PDCA, A3 thinking, root‑cause analysis, 5-Why, Pareto, and other methods for problem solving.
• Lead improvements in layout, flow, line balancing, bottlenecks, labor utilization, and routing.
• Establish a disciplined Kaizen process for high‑value opportunities.
• Lead cross‑functional teams through improvement events and transformation initiatives.
• Implement follow‑up mechanisms to sustain improvements.
• Coach ops leadership in Lean thinking and CI mindset.
