Irwin Seating Company in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Team Coordinator to lead the Wood Plant department, driving safety, quality, and cost-reduction initiatives. You will coach team members, support problem-solving, and foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, training in SOPs, CI participation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth material flow and timely issue resolution.

Formación

• Two years combined manufacturing and leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Plex and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
• Proactive in solution-seeking approach, and accountable for personal and team performance and behavior.
• Active listening skills, ability to identify individual needs and root causes of conflict or frustration.
• Ability to understand and coach team on impacts to the total business value stream.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to share constructive feedback and manage conflict.
• Curiosity and focus on continuous learning for self and for the team.
• Ability to work overtime hours and some weekends.

Responsabilidades

• Lead production team to meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals.
• Coach team members and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.
• Ensure safety and well-being, per MIOSHA standards and Irwin policies.
• Train staff in operational, inspection, and safety procedures.
• Partner with production teams to set and achieve department schedules.
• Maintain floor stock inventories and communicate material needs.
• Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize delays.
• Support CI initiatives and lead PDCA problem-solving training.
