Meyer Tool Inc in Erlanger, KY is seeking a Project Engineer to drive efficient machining processes, lean plans, and high-quality outcomes. You will own parts from customer drawings to process routing, coordinating with QA, shop floor, and engineering teams to meet cost, delivery, and quality targets.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering field or related area.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T understanding.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement focus.
• Proficient with gauges and standard inspection tools.
• CAD experience (NX/AutoCAD) and MS Office proficiency.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or similar training; quality system familiarity.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; English required.
• ITAR US Person status and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Mansioni

• Identify and understand all customer requirements from PO, drawings and specs.
• Review POs and manage flow-down of technical information.
• Develop, maintain process routings and operation instructions.
• Assist QE in development of inspection process instructions and equipment.
• Request tooling, gaging, electrodes, and other fixtures to start processing.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency, quality, and cost savings.
• Provide technical support to shop floor personnel daily.
• Assist in special handling instructions for rework.
• Quote work with small lot fees and expediting charges under guidance.
• Support root cause analysis and change implementation using FMEA/DMAIC/PDCA/5 WHY.
• Review legacy parts to ensure current standards are met.
• Ensure profitability and on-time delivery of jobs.
• Troubleshoot production floor issues with cell leaders or process specialists.
• Implement solutions that meet required quality, reliability, and cost targets.
• Coordinate with engineering for samples for metallurgical evaluation labs.
