Job summary

Fabcon Precast in Grandville, MI, is seeking a Production Supervisor to drive Lean initiatives and SQDC improvements across safety, quality, delivery and cost. You will provide direction to support groups and ensure customer orders are fulfilled.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in management or related field and at least two years leading a manufacturing team; you will lead daily startup meetings, develop teams, and push continuous improvement through standard work and cross-training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent in experience.
• Two years of demonstrated experience leading a team to achieve objectives in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills and will communicate in a way that builds understanding and dedication through use of presentations as well as verbal and written communications.
• Flexibility, results orientation, and commitment to promote and achieve business goals are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manages customer orders to insure proper fulfillment.
• Insures that all required resources are present to produce the required output.
• Communicates progress toward order fulfillment.
• Manages for daily improvement.
• Establishes a lean vision for his/her processes, sets SQDC improvement goals, and takes the proper action to achieve these goals.
