Job summary

Flex-N-Gate Detroit is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily operations on the Detroit plant floor, ensuring safe, efficient production and adherence to schedules.

You will supervise staff, optimize line performance, drive safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement, and collaborate with maintenance, engineering, planning and quality teams to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ related work experience required.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and Labour Laws.
• Conflict Resolution and Time Management.
• Strong communication, presentation, organizational, problem solving, teamwork and leadership skills.
• Proficient with technology, instruments, tools and information systems.
• Ability to work in a team and provide guidance as needed.
• Ability to direct and oversee the line with minimal supervision.
• Solid computer proficiency with MS Office.
• Willingness to support/operate off shifts as required.
• Ability to deliver business results independently or through others.

Responsibilities

• All work must be performed safely and efficiently per Company Policy and applicable laws.
• Communicates, trains, coaches employees to meet operational initiatives and quality standards.
• Evaluates interpersonal skills and provides feedback for improved communication.
• Schedules and assigns personnel based on production demand.
• Monitors equipment capacity and material supply to optimize output.
• Assesses employees’ abilities to match roles on the manufacturing floor.
• Tracks output, processes, labor efficiency, costs, and quality indicators.
• Measures performance and quality; drives KPIs.
• Builds relationships with Maintenance, Engineering, Finance, Planning and Quality.
• Regularly reviews production results with Management to set priorities.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.
