Job summary

Carbery Group in Chicago is seeking a Production Supervisor (HVP 2nd Shift) to lead a manufacturing team and drive operational excellence. You will coordinate labor, materials flow, and production scheduling to meet customer deadlines while upholding safety and quality standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a Bachelor's in a related field preferred, and at least 3 years of production experience with LEAN experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years production experience in a production environment; food manufacturing experience preferred.
• LEAN manufacturing principles required; ability to apply them to operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide first level leadership, coaching and direction to the manufacturing team.
• Plan material flow and assign labor, create schedules to meet internal and external needs.
• Foster environment of problem solving and continuous improvement using LEAN principles.
• Increase efficiency by suggesting changes in working conditions or equipment use.
• Coordinate information sharing across departments to meet customer deadlines.
• Interview, hire and train employees; assess performance.
• Ensure ERP system schedules orders and resolve inventory issues; perform cycle counts.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently.
• Analyze and resolve production problems to exceed safety, quality, and customer service metrics.
• Maintain production records; address safety and quality issues.
