Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group in Indiana is looking for a Production Engineer to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes that boost productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role emphasizes Lean methodologies and collaboration across design, quality, supply chain, and operations to ensure seamless production and continuous improvement of systems.

The ideal candidate will analyze data, propose optimized product/process flows, and serve as a SME for automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience with discrete parts.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and ERP/MRP systems.
• Solid knowledge of machining, assembly, automation and related processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 or similar quality systems, and GD&T.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Lean Transformational strategies including 6S and pull systems.
• Design and refine production layouts and process flows for efficiency and quality.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and work instructions while reducing waste.
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, processes and equipment.
• Conduct time studies and capacity planning; maintain SOPs and docs.
• Train operators and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers to verify specs and quality.
• Assist with quoting special projects and provide technical support.
• Lead cost reduction initiatives while upholding quality.
• Facilitate Kaizen events.
