Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group in Indiana is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to lead day-to-day production departments and coach Associates with a hands-on, player-coach approach. You will standardize processes using Lean methods and collaborate cross-departmentally to meet quality and delivery goals.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of manufacturing leadership, Lean Six Sigma credentials, strong data analysis skills, ERP experience, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a machining/manufacturing environment (low volume/high mix preferred).
• 5+ years of people management and leadership experience.
• Lean Six Sigma credentials with practical application experience.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Experience in an ERP system, and ability to transition to others.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, coach and performance manage all Associates to maintain high performance.
• Manage production expectations and goals, ensuring quality, accuracy and on-time delivery across departments.
• Develop, justify, and implement continuous process improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, efficiency and capacity.
• Implement metrics, cost control and cost reduction initiatives.
• Optimize processes for consistent quality and productivity; update procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing standards and OSHA compliance; maintain documentation and SOPs.
• Act as a change champion and revise procedures to adapt across Solve.
