Job summary

IntePros is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer in Greenfield, Indiana to guide the Engineering team and ensure quality product and operational efficiencies. The role focuses on leading projects, developing sustainable processes, and enhancing automation across the site.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory capacity, with strong CAD/SAP knowledge and Lean Six Sigma credentials. Travel and training duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
• Master's degree in Engineering or Science preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience; 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
• Strong automation background; CAD and SAP experience a plus.
• Lean Six Sigma certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and may lead engineering team to achieve site and department goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sustainable manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and improve automated equipment.
• Perform and document engineering studies and evaluations.
• Analyze data to drive improvements and determine prioritization.
• Lead RCCA initiatives and corrective actions.
• Schedule technical training on electromechanical systems and PLCs.
• Develop project scope, timeline, savings, and cost estimations.
• Quote new automation lines and develop design concepts.
• Write validation, user requirements, and equipment specifications.
• Maintain relationships with customers and automation suppliers.
• Provide engineering support to keep plant and equipment at optimum levels.
• Routinely evaluate employee performance and foster Lean Manufacturing.
• Research new technologies and methodologies for the plant.
• Demonstrate a customer-service attitude with internal/external customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
