Job summary
Solve Industrial Motion Group is seeking a Production Engineer to develop and improve manufacturing processes using Lean methods. You will collaborate with design, quality, supply chain and operations to enhance productivity, quality and cost efficiency, acting as a SME for automation selection and tool/fixture design.
You will stay informed on lean trends and best practices, supporting continuous improvement and contributing to Solve’s growth and success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering or related field.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing engineering with discrete parts.
- Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies knowledge.
- CAD/CAM software experience and ERP/MRP systems proficiency.
- Knowledge of GD&T, ISO/IATF standards and MS Office.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Lean Transformational strategies and 6S projects.
- Design and refine production workspaces and process flows for efficiency.
- Develop tooling, fixtures and work instructions to reduce waste.
- Analyze methods, processes and equipment for improvements.
- Conduct time studies and capacity planning; document SOPs.
- Train operators and ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and sales for project quotes and technical support.
- Lead cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality.
- Facilitate Kaizen events.
