Job summary

Iron Mountain Incorporated is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to evaluate, standardize, and optimize operational workflows across multiple facilities within Asset Lifecycle Management and ITAD operations. You will partner with floor teams to map material and information flows, apply Lean methods, document SOPs, and drive measurable gains in productivity, ergonomics, and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, industrial engineering, continuous improvement, or related operational optimization roles.
• Lean principles experience in manufacturing, refurbishment, warehousing, or reverse logistics environments; Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling (Excel/Google Sheets) to interpret operating data and support decisions.
• Exposure to ITAD/ electronics refurbishment, serialized asset tracking, or enterprise IT hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering and willingness to travel domestically with occasional international trips.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve floor operations by visiting facilities and aligning workflows with standard procedures.
• Apply Lean to map flows, identify bottlenecks, and eliminate root causes.
• Standardize and document workflows with SOPs and visual job aids across multiple sites.
• Analyze capacity by conducting time and motion studies and tracking KPIs like first-pass yield and processing time.
• Enhance workstations and systems while collaborating with IT/Operations on asset tracking and data entry.
