Job summary

Trane Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an OpEx Lean Technician to drive lean transformation and daily management initiatives on-site. The role trains operators, coaches rapid improvement events, and leads 5S and visual controls while upholding safety standards.

You will support problem solving, update performance boards, and help sustain improvements across value streams as part of a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus two years manufacturing experience.
• Associates degree preferred with manufacturing experience.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Able to stand long periods and work on site.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach hourly operators on lean tools and processes.
• Support Rapid Improvement Events with cross-functional teams.
• Lead 5S implementation and visual workplace improvements.
• Ensure workplace safety and conduct time analyses.
• Identify obstacles and support lean transformation initiatives.
• Create and sustain standard work and visual controls.
