Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an OpEx Lean Technician to drive lean transformation on-site in Grand Rapids. You will train operators, coach teams, and lead rapid improvement events to improve takt time and efficiency.

You will implement visual management, support 5S, and help sustain gains while collaborating with site personnel to remove obstacles and ensure safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus two years manufacturing experience.
• Associates degree plus manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to withstand long periods on feet.
• Able to work in a team environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to participate in continuous learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach hourly operators on lean tools and processes.
• Support Rapid Improvement Events with cross-functional teams.
• Lead implementation of 5S and visual workplace across all areas.
• Ensure workplace safety.
• Conduct cycle time analyses and line balance improvements.
• Identify and remove obstacles to improve takt attainment.
• Assist in updating standard work and coaching team leaders.
