Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an OpEx Lean Technician to coach hourly operators on lean methods and lead daily management initiatives at our on-site Grand Rapids facility. You will participate in Rapid Improvement Events, advance 5S, and ensure safety while driving continuous improvement across value streams.

You will analyze cycle times, conduct time studies, support line balance improvements, and collaborate with site personnel to remove obstacles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required with manufacturing experience.
• Associates degree preferred and manufacturing experience valued.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods on feet.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach hourly operators on lean tools and processes.
• Support Rapid Improvement Events with cross-functional teams.
• Lead 5S and visual workplace improvements in value streams.
• Ensure workplace safety and standard work.
• Conduct cycle time analyses, time studies, and line balance improvements.
• Identify and address obstacles to lean initiatives.
• Assist in updating visual performance tools and dashboards.
• Support communication of Lean Transformation goals to employees.
