Job summary
Randstad USA in Memphis, TN is seeking an Operational Excellence Support Specialist to advance lean maturity and drive CI across site operations. This on-site contract role focuses on deploying the operating system, optimizing floor layouts, and sustaining disciplined problem-solving and performance standards.
You will partner with the Operational Excellence team and cross-functional leaders to design standard work, 5S practices, TPM alignment, and visual management tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Foundational knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or IE concepts.
- On-site manufacturing environment experience expected; no licensure required.
Responsibilities
- Optimize workplace layout, visual management, and Tiered Accountability boards.
- Develop clear standard work instructions for core processes.
- Establish 5S, tool shadow boards, and material indicators.
- Update workstation surfaces to protect parts from damage.
- Create autonomous maintenance plans and TPM-related standard work.
- Assess ergonomic risks and implement corrective solutions.
- Support value stream optimization and other continuous improvement projects.
