Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Reconditioning Manager to oversee daily operations in the Inspection Center. You will direct a team of leads and up to 70 front line associates in a lean manufacturing environment, driving quality, productivity and cost objectives while upholding Carvana values.

This supervisory role requires 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing, strong English skills, and the ability to coach, plan, and execute strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5 years of management experience in automotive or lean manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience leading and developing associates.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record in the last 3 years.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the Inspection Center.
• Mentor direct reports and plan succession through coaching and training.
• Help develop and execute strategic plans aligned with the company.
• Ensure adherence to standards, policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Foster positive communication and teamwork aligned with Carvana values.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train supervisory staff.
• Provide training and competency feedback to leads and associates.
• Ensure capacity planning and production planning.
• Ensure health, safety, and loss prevention compliance.
• Guide the team to meet performance metrics and continuous improvement.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
