Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products seeks an Operational Excellence Manager to lead lean manufacturing improvements and capital projects across multiple Texas locations, driving profitability, throughput and quality while traveling 75–90% of the time.

This onsite role collaborates with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and EHS, and supports plant leadership across Texas-based plants including Houston, Mansfield, Roanoke, San Antonio, Brookshire and Castroville.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally in precast.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Quality control/maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD; experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to lead in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for significant improvement and apply lean initiatives and capital investments.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to plant-level teams executing lean projects.
• Drive process change through hands-on communication with plant teams.
• Optimize plant layout and flow to reduce inefficiencies and costs.
• Lead plant improvement workshops to diagnose bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
