Oshkosh Corporation, Inc. is seeking a motivated student intern to assist the Materials department in Murfreesboro, TN. The role focuses on analyzing data from ERP systems and other sources to improve material flow and reduce total landed costs.

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Manufacturing Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN for the Summer of 2027 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Murfreesboro, TN).

Responsibilities

• Compile data from ERP systems, spreadsheet, and other sources to support decision-making in conjunction with the Plan for Every Part process.
• Reduce excess material handling inside facilities, between facilities and to and from local suppliers through value stream analysis and application of PFEP principles.
• Support standardization, advancement and implementation of a lean enterprise material flow strategy.
• Work with the Materials and Operations department to introduce, promote, and implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
• Run and compile various reports as well as run various data analytics to understand the data
• Assist in the continuous improvement techniques including Continuous Improvement events and 5S.
