Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation's Kewaunee Fabrications division seeks an ME Intern to support the Manufacturing Engineering team in achieving production goals and driving continuous improvement. You will assist with audits, time studies, and methods development to enhance fabrication and machining processes.

In this role you will work with ERP systems like JD Edwards, gain hands‑on experience in plant layout, and contribute to documentation for new product launches while learning from engineers on the shop

Qualifications

• Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree for the entire internship duration.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater is preferred.
• Experience in welding, machining, or fabrication is a plus.
• Exposure to cell/work center layout and Lean/5S concepts is desirable.
• Experience with 2D & 3D CAD software is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
• Improve material handling methods and perform time studies.
• Develop methods in fabrication and machining processes.
• Perform workstation/cell analyses to improve productivity and quality.
• Provide technical support to production personnel and tooling input.
• Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
• Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
• Create documentation for new product launches.
• All other duties or projects as assigned.
