  • Willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN for the Summer of 2027 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Murfreesboro, TN).

Responsibilities

  • Compile data from ERP systems, spreadsheet, and other sources to support decision-making in conjunction with the Plan for Every Part process.
  • Reduce excess material handling inside facilities, between facilities and to and from local suppliers through value stream analysis and application of PFEP principles.
  • Support standardization, advancement and implementation of a lean enterprise material flow strategy.
  • Work with the Materials and Operations department to introduce, promote, and implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Run and compile various reports as well as run various data analytics to understand the data
  • Assist in the continuous improvement techniques including Continuous Improvement events and 5S.

SUMMARY

Assist and support the Materials department within Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee. This role will utilize analytical skills to identify opportunities and develop solutions that result in optimal material flow at the lowest total landed cost. Develop process improvements within the Materials department.

YOUR IMPACT

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Operations/Manufacturing Management, Business, Engineering, or related field for entire duration of internship.
  • Graduation date of December 2027 or later
  • Willing to travel or relocate to Murfreesboro, TN for the Summer of 2027 (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Murfreesboro, TN).
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
  • GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
