Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking an intern to assist the Materials department with data analysis and process improvements. You will compile data from ERP and other sources to support decisions within the Plan for Every Part framework.

The role focuses on reducing material handling, promoting lean principles, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across facilities. The position targets undergrad students pursuing a degree in Operations/Manufacturing Management,

Qualifications

  • Leadership abilities to coordinate with team members during process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Compile data from ERP systems, spreadsheets and other sources to support decision making within the Plan for Every Part process.
  • Analyze value streams to reduce material handling and drive PFEP-based improvements.
  • Support standardization and lean manufacturing initiatives to lower costs and increase efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing lean material flow strategies across Materials and Operations teams.
  • Run and compile reports and perform data analytics to understand trends.
  • Support Continuous Improvement events and 5S activities within the department.
