Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking an Operations Manager to lead safe, reliable assembly operations and translate demand into production plans. Build capable teams, drive Lean improvements, and manage resources to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

You will guide growth and change in a fast-paced startup environment, leading supervisors and production staff while collaborating with Engineering, Materials, Quality, and HR to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of progressive leadership in a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Experience directing production teams and achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.
• Experience developing production plans, labor needs, and capacity models.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff, schedule, and execute daily manufacturing operations to meet demand and on-time delivery.
• Lead with a safety-first mindset and build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure quality specifications, investigate root causes, and sustain corrective actions with Quality/Engineering.
• Develop supervisors and production staff, setting clear expectations and succession plans.
• Establish operating rhythms and track KPIs across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
• Apply Lean principles, standard work, and visual management to improve flow and labor efficiency.
