Job summary

Brunswick Boat Group seeks an Operations Leader to supervise a team of supervisors, team leads, and production staff in a manufacturing setting. You will apply Lean and continuous improvement to improve value stream performance and mentor staff across departments.

You will drive safety, quality and productivity, coach belts to deliver financial impact, and communicate effectively with leadership while guiding projects from conception to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations/Engineering/Manufacturing/Business or related field, or related experience in lamination/fiberglass/composite manufacturing.
• 7+ years of operational experience across manufacturing, quality, or engineering with cross-functional leadership.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification by a recognized source preferred; Green Belt with demonstrated history acceptable.
• Proficiency in Lean tools, techniques and applying them in Operational Management.
• Proven ability to drive results through leadership influence.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Excellent verbal, written, listening and communication skills across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize resources to help meet annual operating plan and budget.
• Apply Lean tools to improve value stream performance and output.
• Provide operational management leadership for production and mentor supervisors and team leads.
• Coach Green/Yellow Belts to drive positive financial impact.
• Identify issues, gather input and solve problems with actionable recommendations.
• Drive safety, quality and productivity with visual management and regular reporting.
