Brunswick, a global marine leader, invites you to join the New York Mills Operations team in Minnesota. You will provide leadership and supervision to front-line supervisors and production staff to ensure value stream performance and the application of Lean and continuous improvement methods across departments.

As a key conduit for employee communications, you will coach belts, identify bottlenecks, and drive safety, quality and productivity improvements while aligning with the operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations/engineering/manufacturing/business or related field.
• 10+ years of operational experience in Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering with cross functional leadership.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification; Green Belt acceptable with proven history.
• Proficiency in Lean tools, techniques and application in Operational Management.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Identify resources to meet the annual operating plan and budget commitments.
• Apply Lean tools such as Andon, VSM, Flow Improvements and Line Balancing.
• Provide Operational Management leadership for production operations and mentor supervisors and team leads.
• Coach and mentor Green and Yellow Belts to drive financial impact.
• Identify issues, gather input and solve problems with recommendations and solutions.
• Drive safety, quality and productivity with regular reporting to the Operations Director.
• Provide support for project and performance reviews on an ongoing basis.
• Monitor cost reductions and analyze production flow to prevent bottlenecks.
• Communicate with Supervisors and team members about events, policies and updates.
• Lead the transition of new products and new technology into production.
• Maintain positive employee relations; lead by example and uphold company standards.
• Administer policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
• Support safety initiatives and compliance with government standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
