Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Northwoods, IL to drive process improvements and productivity. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing systems and implement lean strategies, with a focus on cost reduction and quality.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years of experience, a solid background in Lean and Six Sigma, and proficiency with SolidWorks for designing and optimizing equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Hands-on problem-solving with strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing systems and processes, focusing on productivity and efficiency.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Utilize SolidWorks to design and optimize processes and equipment.
• Identify bottlenecks and devise strategies to overcome them.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve manufacturability.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Train and guide team members on new processes and equipment.
• Develop and implement process control techniques in manufacturing environments.
• Use Six Sigma methodologies to drive improvements and cost reductions.
• Ensure manufacturing safety policies and procedures are followed.
