Job summary

Astec is seeking a Primary Process Owner at our RexCon facility in Burlington, WI. You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and safety to develop safe, efficient methods and lead lean initiatives across the plant.

You will identify improvements, perform time studies, and deploy standards to reduce costs and ensure on-time delivery. Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering or related field.
• 0–3 years in manufacturing with heavy machinery experience.
• Knowledge of lean methods and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with metal-cutting processes and reading engineering drawings.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate change.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing methods using new processes and modifications.
• Lead time studies, value-stream mapping, and workload balancing with cross-functional teams.
• Apply lean tools to reduce cycle-time, waste, and costs while improving safety and quality.
• Develop work instructions and tooling for new or improved processes.
• Plan capacity, material routing, and layout for efficiency and safety.
• Support the transition of new product introductions from engineering to manufacturing.
