Job summary

Astec is seeking a Primary Process Owner to develop safe, efficient and reliable manufacturing methods across operations. You will identify process improvements, lead lean initiatives, and collaborate with manufacturing to optimize capacity and quality.

Responsibilities include time studies, value-stream mapping, and implementing standards to reduce waste and costs. Strong cross-functional teamwork is essential in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of Lean methods used in manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of all types of metal-cutting processes (punch, plasma, flame).
• Ability to collaborate and facilitate cross-functional teams in a heavy manufacturing, multi-shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops and improves manufacturing methods to minimize cost and improve capabilities.
• Conducts time studies, value-stream mapping, and workload balancing with cross-functional teams.
• Apply lean tools to reduce cycle-time, waste, and inventory while improving safety and quality.
• Lead cross-functional events to deploy standards and improve productivity.
