Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop and implement advanced manufacturing processes and equipment. You will report to the Director of Manufacturing and drive continuous improvement with Lean and TPS while mentoring technical teams to optimize operations.

Minimum 2 years in manufacturing with TPS/Lean experience, strong problem-solving, and proficiency in MS Project; AutoCAD is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with Toyota Production System and lean concepts.
• Ability to lead teams or projects of moderate complexity.
• Proficiency with quality tools like PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, Gauge R&R, statistical analysis, A3.
• Nice to have certifications such as Lean Six Sigma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans and work instructions.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and optimize material flow and plant layout.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians and production staff to optimize operations.
• Lead continuous improvement using Lean and TPS tools and statistical methods.
• Coach team members on value stream mapping, kaizen events, standard work and audits.
• Provide technical support for safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost goals.
