Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to drive efficient Methods of Manufacture and Lean improvements. You will ensure standardized work and flow efficiency, collaborate to optimize BOM and layouts, and support process improvements across manufacturing operations.

The role requires hands-on shop floor experience, strong problem-solving, and proficiency with CAD and ERP systems. Hybrid work with occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred).
• 4+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean/Continuous Improvement experience; Green Belt preferred.
• Experience in assembly of generator sets, switchgear, or metal fabrication equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across departments to support operational goals.
• Lead shop floor 5S initiatives.
• Develop and improve processes including Standard Work and SOPs.
• Analyze data to identify waste and bottlenecks.
• Lead Lean activities like Kaizen events and VSM.
• Design and optimize work center layouts to improve space and efficiency.
• Support BOM setup including product structure and routings.
