Job summary

Precision Personnel seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II for Dept. 452 to engineer improvements in production methods, layouts, tooling and processes.

You will perform analyses, write work instructions, support make/buy decisions, and participate in Lean/Six Sigma initiatives in a production environment. The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and 1.5 years of related experience, with competency in CAD/CAM tools (CATIA, CADAM) and SAP/Corridor/Solumina.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field is required.
Eighteen months of Manufacturing Engineering, planning, or related experience.
Experience applying Lean Six Sigma principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform technical studies of a complex nature and analyze operations; report recommendations for equipment and methods.
Author detailed work instructions to optimize process efficiency and defect prevention.
Author DRDI/DMT rework instructions to support corrective actions.
Author MBOM in SAP/Solumina/Corridor to ensure proper parts installation during assembly.
Assist in make-or-buy proposals and vendor evaluations; participate in vendor negotiations.
Apply Lean/Six Sigma principles and lead projects across multiple organizations.
