Job summary

Venteon is seeking an experienced Lean Industrial Engineer for a 1st Shift opening with a Tier 1 company near Warsaw, IN. The candidate will drive lean initiatives across automotive process engineering, focusing on waste reduction and quality improvements.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in automotive process engineering, hands-on Lean tool implementation, and strong communication skills to collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in automotive process engineering.
• Proven Lean engineering implementation and process optimization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Kanban) to streamline operations.
• Conduct time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis to optimize labor and equipment utilization.
• Lead or support continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction, productivity, and quality enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain) to ensure alignment on manufacturing strategies.

Requirements of the Lean Industrial Engineer

• 10+ years in automotive process engineering
• Proven track record in Lean engineering implementation and process optimization
• Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction experience
• Experience working with robotics / industrial automation equipment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of automotive customer and their requirements
