Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products seeks an Operational Excellence Manager (Finance) to drive lean transformation, process improvements, and capital projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. The role collaborates with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and EHS, and involves heavy travel (75%–90%) among NC, PA, CT, and NY.

Location options include Concord, Raleigh, Fuquay, Fayetteville, Avon, Telford or Croydon.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience ideally in precast.
• In depth knowledge and practical experience applying lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Quality control/maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Track record of achieving positive results using lean manufacturing techniques.
• Competency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods utilizing lean tools and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for significant improvement by working with operations/sales teams.
• Provide guidance and training to plant-level teams executing lean initiatives.
• Drive manufacturing process change through hands-on communication with plant teams.
• Optimize plant layout and flow to reduce inefficiencies and costs.
• Lead plant improvement workshops to address bottlenecks in production processes.
• Provide training on kaizen, 5S and lean tools and techniques.
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specifications.
• Evaluate capital project proposals and develop business cases with ROI analysis.
