Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products seeks an Operational Excellence Manager (Finance) to drive lean manufacturing initiatives and capital improvements across NC, PA, CT, and NY. This role requires heavy travel (75–90%) and close collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and EHS.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience with lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Experience applying lean tools to improve profitability and throughput.
• Quality control/maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ERP/MRP experience; project management tools.
• Effective team builder and leader in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to apply lean processes and capital investment for profitability.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to plant teams executing lean improvements.
• Drive process change through hands-on coordination with plant teams.
• Optimize layout and flow to reduce inefficiencies and costs.
• Lead plant improvement workshops to address bottlenecks.
• Provide training on kaizen, 5S and lean techniques.
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specifications.
• Perform ROI analysis for capital and improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with the Operational Excellence framework.
