Job summary

RXO Inc. is seeking an Operations Supervisor in Naperville, IL to oversee daily transportation and supplier performance.

You will ensure timely resolution of transportation, communication, and customer service issues, while driving cost-effective routing and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires 5 years in transportation or logistics and may include bonus or commission; bachelor’s degree preferred and Oracle Transportation Management experience is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills; ability to supervise, coach and influence employees

Responsibilities

• Review all available freight for linehauls and routes to ensure lowest cost options within a private fleet
• Coordinate Load Planners and dispatch fleet drivers and dockworkers
• Investigate and resolve issues impacting performance, morale, and customer satisfaction
• Lead Lean-style process improvements to reduce costs and raise performance
• Schedule daily workload based on customer input and supplier disputes
• Monitor disputes and escalation requests, compile supplier on-time shipping data
• Track delivery performance and analyze root causes of delays
• Supervise hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
• Maintain a safe work environment and promptly report issues
