Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Cresco, IA seeks an experienced Industrial Engineer to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and office functions. You will lead lean initiatives, develop capacity plans, and optimize product flow to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce WIP.

You will provide leadership to operators and technicians, mentor supervisors, and partner with site leadership to deliver best-in-class performance through data-driven problem solving and structured project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide lean activities (5S, standard work, visual mgmt, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 8D) to eliminate waste and boost productivity.
• Foster the professional development of facility Leads, Supervisors, and Managers
• Lead the standardization and optimization of manufacturing processes, sequences, layouts, and product flow.
• Lead and track continuous improvement activities across all functional areas, including manufacturing and office operations.
• Develop detailed project plans, drive project performance, and ensure timely completion of improvement projects and savings.
• Develop, design, and plan equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize utilization.
• Serve as a key owner for equipment capital expenditures, including design, vendor selection, procurement, and implementation.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager and Site Leadership Team to develop a continuous improvement roadmap focused on achieving best-in-class performance.
• Lead the creation and enhancement of capacity modeling, production planning tools, and time standards.
• Provide direction to operators and technicians while supporting their professional development, capabilities, and performance.
• Perform industrial engineering data collection, root cause analysis, and practical problem-solving to identify and address operational issues.
