Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Decorah, Iowa seeks an Industrial Engineer to lead efforts identifying bottlenecks and applying lean principles to improve product flow and reduce WIP. You will oversee IE operators and technicians, provide direction, and develop their capabilities and performance.

Primary responsibilities include leading lean activities, standardizing processes, driving continuous improvement, and developing capacity models and time standards to maximize plant utilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering required.
• At least 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
• Experience with data collection, root cause analysis and practical problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead site lean activities (5S, standard work, visual management, takt, value stream mapping, Kaizen, 8D).
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and office functions.
• Develop plans, drive projects and achieve savings goals.
• Design layouts, workflows, and safety measures to maximize utilization.
• Own equipment CAPEX projects from design to implementation.
• Collaborate with site leadership to create CI roadmap.
• Develop capacity modeling and time standards.
