Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Lean Engineer to bolster project teams with kaizen-based continuous improvement, 5S and Flow Construction aimed at safety, streamlined processes, and better project outcomes. Roles span levels I and II with compensation driven by experience and location.

Responsibilities include partnering with leadership, facilitating improvement events, promoting one-piece flow, and supporting daily planning. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with project leadership to establish trust for lean approaches.
• Provide feedback to project leadership and lean group on improvements.
• Support continuous improvement efforts onsite and coordinate improvement events.
• Reinforce 5S standards and ensure ongoing application of tools.
• Promote one-piece flow and reduce batching in self-perform work.
• Support planning, work management, and learning approaches on projects.
