Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks an experienced Lean Manager I to define and execute Lean Innovation agendas and Project Standard Work across the Operating Group and Project Teams. You will coach teams, promote continuous improvement onsite, lead improvement events, and build capability in Kaizen, 5S, and Production Preparation Processes.

Travel up to 75% is required, with a strong construction/CI background. This role includes eligibility for Mortenson's incentive plan and a competitive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with related work experience.
• Six years' construction or manufacturing experience.
• Three years' experience applying continuous improvement in relevant environments.
• Current driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Create partnerships with project leadership to gain buy-in for lean approaches.
• Lead by example, coaching teams in continuous improvement.
• Promote CI principles onsite and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support leaders in preparing and following up on improvement events.
• Engage field leaders to build Kaizen capability after events.
• Measure baseline performance and improvements; ensure visibility across projects.
• Develop and implement Production Preparation Process for new scopes.
• Champion 5S practices with project teams and trade partners.
