Job summary

gategroup is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager in a full-time on-site role in New York. You will lead Lean initiatives, coach teams, and drive cost-saving projects across the plant. Candidates should have 4+ years in Lean/IE, 2+ years supervisory experience in high-volume operations, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities include planning productivity improvements, training staff on Lean tools, and collaborating with management to implement changes across units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business economics, science, industrial engineering or related field.
• Minimum four (4) years in Lean Manufacturing or related Industrial Engineering role.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing, food production, restaurant or catering.
• Experience leading cross-organizational projects and maintaining safety/quality standards.
• Experience with Lean techniques including Just in Time, 5S, value stream mapping, Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Quantify effects of improved processes, workflows and opportunities.
• Make documented proposals for improvements.
• Communicate with unit management and leadership on changes.
• Support management and associates in the change process.
• Train and build capability in all levels of the organization regarding Lean Manufacturing.
• Plan and guide productivity, material waste, safety and quality initiatives.
• Drive continuous process improvements using Lean principles to maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Actively participate in the unit’s performance management system and dialogues.
