Job summary

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in production, 2+ years supervising, and can read engineering drawings. Experience with Lean, problem solving, MIG welding preferred, and forklift operation is required to keep operations

Qualifications

• 5+ years in material handling/manufacturing (union experience a plus).
• 2+ years supervising employees.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Lean / Continuous Improvement experience.
• Proficiency with forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct and lead production employees to meet production targets.
• Plan work schedules and expedite workflow.
• Coordinate materials for jobs and maintain inventory levels.
• Inspect first piece and ensure conformance to policies and procedures.
• Implement Lean layouts, techniques and tools in area.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost and safety to achieve positive results.
• Train, motivate, monitor and evaluate employee performance.
• Control and minimize labor hours.
• Ensure safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
