Qualifications

• 5+ years in material handling or manufacturing
• 2+ years supervising employees
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Lean / Continuous Improvement experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve
• MIG welding preferred
• Proficiency operating a forklift

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, direct and lead production employees to meet production budgets
• Set work schedules and expedite workflow
• Coordinate materials and maintain inventory levels
• Inspect work for quality and policy conformance
• Oversee lean layouts and safety procedures
• Balance quality, productivity, cost and safety outcomes
• Train, motivate and evaluate employee performance
• Control and minimize labor hours
• Ensure safety incident reporting procedures are followed
• Perform accident and injury investigations
• Maintain shop floor organization and housekeeping
• Communicate priorities and issues affecting customer schedules and ship dates
• Manage timecards and payroll entries for production staff
• Open and close the facility and prepare work areas for next day
