Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores is recruiting for an Assistant Manager in Training in Utah, with a starting wage of $18.00 per hour. The program prepares you to assume the Assistant Manager role, overseeing store operations, coaching staff, and driving sales and profitability at Lehi or Orem locations.

This full-time role requires flexibility for 5:00am–midnight shifts, weekends, and a 21+ age minimum. A comprehensive benefits package including insurance, 401k match, tuition reimbursement, and more is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Flexible availability for 24/7 operations including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Leadership experience supervising teams in retail/food service.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience.
• Valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
• Legal age to sell alcohol/tobacco (where applicable).
• Ability to foster teamwork and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, proactive customer service and greet customers.
• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures with staff.
• Promote store specials and suggest add-on purchases.
• Ensure sanitation and proper food handling/storage.
• Maintain cleanliness of store interior/exterior and equipment.
• Restock shelves, displays, and coolers to minimize out-of-stock.
• Operate register and store equipment as needed.
• Assist in training new employees and managing food/bev programs.
• Prepare deposits and weekly supplier orders as required.
• Respond to emergencies when Store Manager is unavailable.
• Additional duties as assigned.
