Job summary

Jacksons Food Stores is hiring for an Assistant Manager in Training. You’ll gain hands-on experience across store operations, drive sales, coach the team, control expenses, and oversee merchandising and inventory. This hourly role offers progression from within and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Open availability to meet 24/7 operation needs.
• Previous leadership in food service or retail.
• At least 3 months of retail customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service and greet customers.
• Enforce company policies with staff.
• Promote store specials and suggest purchases.
• Ensure sanitation and proper food handling.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store and equipment.
• Restock shelves and restock coolers to minimize outages.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Manage food service programs to maximize sales and minimize loss.
• Prepare daily deposits and assist in weekly orders.
• Respond to emergencies when the Store Manager is unavailable.
