Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking a Student Programming Assistant to support the Student Engagement Center’s workshops, events, and outreach. This hourly position emphasizes contribution to leadership programs, campus events, and marketing efforts to enhance student involvement and success.

Responsibilities include coordinating sessions, guiding campus tours, and maintaining program logistics while ensuring strong written communication and friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Weekday availability: Monday–Thursday 9–8pm and Friday 9–4pm.
• Prior experience in office and/or customer service settings.
• Strong written communication skills as evidenced by application materials process.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination, and implementation of Student Leadership Programs, including workshops, retreats, roundtable discussions, and panels.
• Serve as ambassador for the Student Engagement Center during events and classroom visits, and provide tours to prospective students and families.
• Complete administrative duties at the front desk, assist in creating marketing materials, and support event attendance tracking.
