Job summary

The University Career Center at The University of Kansas is seeking a meticulous student to assist in developing, coordinating, and evaluating events and programs across a large campus department. Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills as evidenced by application materials.
  • Must have Federal Work Study eligibility.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office as evidenced by application materials.
  • Preferred: maintain a 3.0 GPA; exposure to Canva and Excel is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support administration and planning of UCC events and programs.
  • Generate event materials such as nametags, signs, maps.
  • Support post-event data collection, organization, and reporting.
  • Maintain and update event employer contacts in Handshake.
  • Provide general administrative support (email, mail, materials).
  • Oversee organization of event materials and storage spaces.
  • Process event payments and deposits.
  • Provide on-site support for 10–12 events per semester.
  • Coordinate volunteers and respond to employer questions.
