Job summary

The University of Kansas seeks Student Event Planners for the Student Engagement Center to strengthen the KU student experience through program development, events, and outreach. This on-site hourly role supports orientation, engagement fairs, and collaborative efforts with KU departments.

You will manage program logistics, assist in marketing materials, and contribute to front desk administration while upholding campus guidelines and building a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in an office setting and/or customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills as evidenced by application materials.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs to build community among KU students.
• Represent the SEC at involvement fairs and campus events and provide an overview of services.
• Provide campus tours for prospective students and families and manage event attendance.
• Perform administrative duties at the front desk and assist with marketing materials.
