Job summary

The University Career Center (UCC) at KU is seeking a detail-oriented student hourly to help develop, enhance, and implement a range of events and programs for a large campus department. This role offers hands-on experience in event coordination and program management, with an anticipated start in September 2026.

The position involves 50% administrative projects, 40% events support, and 10% miscellaneous tasks, with on-site support for multiple events per semester.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication skills demonstrated in application materials.
• Must have Federal Work Study eligibility.
• Experience with Microsoft Office as shown in application materials.

Responsibilities

• Administrative support and planning for UCC events and programs.
• Generate event materials such as nametags and maps.
• Support post-event data collection, organization, and reporting.
• Maintain and update event employer contacts in Handshake.
• On-site support for 10–12 UCC events per semester.
• Coordinate volunteers and assist with event logistics.
